Brilliant miler who finished second to Ceolwulf at last start when raced wide. Has a good record against Pride Of Jenni and is 5-2-1 from 11 starts at track and distance. Prominent again.

Ceolwulf

Has won up to 2000m and is a last start G1 1609m winner at Randwick. Talented and in the mix at his best as he tackles first interstate race.

Pericles

Joined in at the 300m mark in the G1 King Charles III Stakes (1609m) but couldn’t finish off for 2.13L 4th behind Ceolwulf and Mr Brightside. Can give cheek at odds.

Lake Forest

English visitor who finished 7.17L last in G1 1609m at Randwick when under pressure and couldn’t finish off. Is better than that but yet to win at 1600m.

Steparty

Yet to win at the distance. Last two have been at G3 and G2 1400m levels for a third and fourth. Difficult to endorse.

Backed up a solid Flemington Listed 1400m third with 1L G2 1600m victory at Moonee Valley on 25 October. Needs to go to another level to win this.

Pride Of Jenni

Back to her front-running best with 4.5L win in G1 1600m here last week. The one to beat if she backs up okay. Has won 3 at track and distance.

Stefi Magnetica

Last start G2 1400m winner at Randwick who will appreciate the distance increase. Ran home strongly for 0.33L win and will be competitive in this.

Treasurethe Moment

High-quality mare who hasn’t been out of the money in her 15 starts and was gallant in G1 Cox Plate (2040m) with on-pace 1.6L third behind Via Sistina. Tactics will be interesting but she has a win at track/distance.

Blinkers first time last start and battled on well for a distant 4.5L second to Pride Of Jenni in G1 1600m. Is honest and could be placed again.
