Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day, presented by The Hong Kong Jockey Club and Sa Sa International Holdings Limited (Sa Sa), will be staged this Sunday (9 November) at Sha Tin Racecourse.
This year marks the 21st edition of the city’s most glamorous lifestyle racing event, where racegoers will enjoy a vibrant line-up of on-course attractions. The event will feature appearances by ambassador Samantha Ko, as well as singer Yan Ting, who makes his racecourse debut in Sha Tin’s Parade Ring.
The racing action is highlighted by the HK$4.2 million G3 Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Handicap (1800m). First run in 1846, the Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse, formerly the Ladies’ Purse, is one of Hong Kong’s oldest races. This year’s ambassador, Samantha Ko, will make appearances at various key moments, including the trophy presentation.
Singer Yan Ting sings at opening performance
Popular singer Yan Ting, renowned for his boundary-pushing artistry, will make his debut performance in the Sha Tin Parade Ring at 11.45am ahead of racing. Popularly known as “YT”, he will captivate the audience with four songs.
Sa Sa has also forged a special collaboration with the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) to present a dazzling fashion show during the opening performance. This showcase will feature a stunning series of creations crafted by graduates of HKDI’s Higher Diploma in Fashion Image Design programme.#

Samantha Ko to attend trophy presentation and present “Best Turned Out Horse”
The Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse is scheduled to run as Race 7 (4.05pm). Miss Georgiana Kwok, daughter of The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Voting Member and horse owner, Mr Larry Kwok, will officiate the trophy presentation ceremony. Ambassador Samantha Ko will attend alongside Stewards of The Hong Kong Jockey Club as well as Dr Simon Kwok SBS, JP, Chairman & CEO of Sa Sa International Holdings Limited and Dr Eleanor Kwok BBS, JP, Vice-Chairman of Sa Sa International Holdings Limited. Dr Simon Kwok, Dr Eleanor Kwok and Samantha Ko will also present the prize for the Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse’s “Best Turned Out Horse”.
Best Dressed Award offers chance to win fabulous prizes
The on-course attractions include the Best Dressed Award, where racegoers who dress in pink are invited to participate, along with special offers at the Sa Sa Beauty Bazaar and themed cuisine at a designated trackside kiosk.
Gift at Races has launched an exquisite collection of fashionable themed merchandise. Photo opportunities with mascots wearing pink outfits are also available. Winners of the “Best Dressed Award” will receive Sa Sa beauty gifts presented by Samantha Ko and enjoy an exclusive photo opportunity with her. The deadline for submissions is 9 November at 4pm.

Champions Connection offers new Sha Tin arrival and customer experience
Champions Connection, the newly-launched venue at Grandstand II, offers visitors an immersive experience. At Champions Connection, visitors can enjoy breathtaking digital displays showcasing the beauty of thoroughbred horses in their natural habitat, creating a visual and sensory experience. Tourist Offers
Visitors to Hong Kong at their first visit to Sha Tin can also purchase the “Sha Tin Racecourse F&B and Guided Tour Package”*. Led by knowledgeable specialists, they will have the opportunity to explore key locations of the racecourse.
Ten races are programmed for the day, with the first race scheduled for 1pm. Sha Tin Racecourse will open at 11am on Sunday, 9 November.
