G1 – 2400m – Turf

Rebel’s Romance Few higher achievers anywhere and attempts to win this for the third time. Continues delivering, too strong for US rivals in a G1 in September.
Goliath Stable having a phenomenal season and Goliath was back at his best with a powerful winning G1 victory in Germany. Strong contender.
Amiloc Upward progression in the UK climaxing with a G2 Royal Ascot fast-ground win at this trip. Lost unbeaten record but good second in first G1. Possibilities.
Redistricting A smart US turf performer and, though he couldn’t match the late pace of Rebel’s Romance in a September G1, could run into the money.
Rebel Red Occasionally puts in a big show, coming close to a G1 Saratoga victory in August. Well held last time. Hard to fancy.
Wimbledon Hawkeye Made up for some close UK misses to win a valuable G3 at Kentucky Downs. Del Mar’s tight track and likely fast ground expected to suit.
Silawi Has hit top gear this year, notably when leading and then brave to hold on in a 2400m G1 at Woodbine. This is harder.
Minnie Hauk A remarkable season almost ended in a tremendous climax, only just failing to win the Arc at ParisLongchamp. Huge chance if still at best.
Gold Phoenix Ran well without threatening victory in this last year. Hard to fancy for a win but G2 victories on last two starts indicate that he’s in good shape.
El Cordobes A European with US experience, winning a Saratoga G1 in August. Couldn’t reach Rebel’s Romance in a G1 last time but a good effort.
Rashabar Unproven at this trip though with some stamina in his pedigree. Running well all year in Europe but without looking on the brink of a G1 success.
Tawny Port Gained valuable victories earlier in his career and enjoying a revival, almost landing a G1 at Woodbine last time. Better rivals here.
Hill Road Likely to struggle against the Europeans. Couldn’t make enough impact when favourite for a G2 last time plus trip worries.
Ethical Diamond The mount of brilliant Hong Kong-bound Dylan McMonagle. Has decisively won top grade UK handicaps on his last two starts. Up in class but respected.
