Jockey Karis Teetan has lodged a notice of appeal against the severity of the penalty imposed by the Racing Stewards at the Happy Valley race meeting held on 8 October 2025 for a breach of Rule 100(3)(ii)(a) when he rode KYRUS DRAGON in Race 9 that evening. Jockey Teetan pleaded guilty to the charge and was suspended from riding in races for two race meetings from 30 October 2025 to 2 November 2025 (both dates inclusive).

The Stewards of the Jockey Club have granted a suspension of the penalty imposed on Jockey Teetan pending determination of his appeal.
