G1 – 1000m – Turf
| Against The Wind | Big step up in class for this 3yo, a comfortable winner of a 995m handicap on the all-weather on third last start. Looks up against it here. |
| Washington Heights | Returns to try to improve on last year’s seventh in this race. A Listed winner over the trip on penultimate start. Tough and genuine. Seventh attempt at trying to become a member of the G1 club. |
| Ain’t Nobody | Put up a superb performance to finish second in the G1 Nunthorpe Stakes at York on fast ground in August. Out of luck when tried over 1200m on two runs since. Will be suited by the drop in trip. |
| Megarry | Raced prominently before staying on one-paced to take third at long odds in a G3 at Deauville over 1200m in soft ground on most recent start in August. Others preferred. |
| Jm Jungle | Speedy former handicapper won at his first attempt when raised in class in a G2 in August. Beaten only three lengths when stepping up to G1 company for first time on only outing since. Stable won this in 2023. |
| Ponntos | Front runner. 10th in this race in 2023. By no means disgraced on previous attempt at a G1 last year. Busy campaign since, running respectably against inferior opposition. May struggle to make an impact. |
| Jawwal | His sire was the last French-trained winner of this race in 2020. Moved to Czech Republic this season. Showed promise when easily landing an 1100m Class 1 contest in Chantilly three weeks ago. |
| Rumstar | Justified the faith of his trainer in supplementing him for the 1000m G1 Nunthorpe Stakes when a close up fifth. Failed to build on that when finishing out of the frame in a G3 since. |
| Night Raider | Knocking at the door at this top level without success so far this term. Ultra quick, connections are praying the weather stays dry as he shows his best on fast ground. |
| Rayevka | An eye-catching runner-up when sent off favourite on her first attempt at 1000m over this C&D three weeks ago on unsuitably soft ground. Close up third in Royal Ascot G1 over 1200m in June. Class act. |
| Frost At Dawn | American-bred four-year-old filly. Placed at G1 level in two of her last three races. Will not be far away if replicating that level of performance. |
| She’s Quality | This Irish-trained speedster has bags of class and is super consistent, narrowly beaten on four attempts in G2/3s this year. A close up fourth when tackling a G1 in Ireland on latest outing. |
| Monteille | Booked her ticket with a G3 C&D success last month in very soft going, her second group win since moving to her new trainer. Improvement expected at this second tilt at the top level this year. Shows her best over this minimum trip. |
| First Instinct | Smart 3yo filly who looks on the upgrade judged on her last time out success, a battling win by a neck in a G3 over the trip on good to soft. First crack at a G1. |
| Mgheera | Represents last year’s winning trainer. Won a G3 over C&D in good to soft ground in May. Respectable runs in defeat at G1 level on latest two starts. |
| Star Of Lady M | Excellent 4yo campaign last year, including a near course record time over York’s 1000m course. Will be tuned up following two comeback runs after an ten-month lay off. Interesting contender at likely long odds. |
| Asfoora | Seeking to become first ever Australian-trained winner in France. Fifth run in Europe this year. G1 winner over 1000m in August. Major chance. |
| Sky Majesty | Winner of a French 1200m G2 in heavy ground as a juvenile in 2024, she rattled off a quick-fire double in Ireland this summer over 1200m. First attempt at 1000m. |
| Afjan | A leading contender to become only the third 2yo winner in over half a century. Returns to ParisLongchamp five weeks after edging out an odds-on favourite in a G3 over C&D in testing conditions. |
