The 2025 National Day Raceday will be held at Sha Tin Racecourse on Wednesday, 1 October, in celebration of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Free admission to the Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourse Public Enclosures^ is on offer. National Day Raceday offers a thrilling programme of world-class horse racing, live music and entertainment.
Sha Tin Racecourse opens for admission at 11am with the first of 10 races scheduled for 1pm, where the day’s highlight is the HK$4.2 million G3 National Day Cup Handicap (1000m), carded as Race 7. Pan Yundong, Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will officiate at the Opening Ceremony. The Honourable Chan Kwok-ki Eric, GBS, IDSM, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Li Shuguang, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Publicity, Cultural and Sports Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will present the National Day Cup trophy.
An estimated HK$12 million in prizes up for grabs
To celebrate National Day, the Club will offer a total of HK$7 million in jackpots from the reserve pools. The Triple Trio pool will be topped up with HK$5 million from the Jackpot Reserve, and the dividend is estimated to reach HK$10 million if there is only one single HK$10 winning unit. Topping up from the Jackpot Reserve and the Operator Reserve, jackpots of HK$0.5 million and HK$1.5 million will be allocated to the Quartet and First 4 Merged Pool for Race 7 – G3 National Day Cup Handicap (1000m) and Race 10, respectively. @
