G1 – 2400m – Turf
1 |
Alleno |
Two-time winner in eight lifetime starts. Took a G2 on his seasonal debut here earlier this year, and may have been ring-rusty when fourth in a Baden-Baden G1 this month, only his second run of the year. Has a bit to find on ratings, but the type to do better with age. |
2 |
Columbus |
Trained in France but German-owned. Late addition to the field, but form falls short of G1 standard and hard to see him figure here. |
3 |
Sibayan |
French raider, in world famous colours. Better than ever this term, improving with every run and runaway winner of Deauville G2 latest, again under Mickael Barzalona. Ground and trip fine and clear on ratings. The one that they all have to beat. |
4 |
Egina |
Took her form to a new level with brave win in fillies and mares G2 at Baden Baden latest, her first try over this trip. Slight suspicion she may be better left-handed, but on the up and can make her presence felt. |
5 |
Tiffany |
UK-trained mare who is a regular visitor to Germany, winning three of her four starts here and only beaten a neck in Munich G1 in November 2024. Not seen since though and whilst her trainer knows what it takes to plunder German G1 with fillies, this is a tough ask on her belated start to the season. Though she has won off an absence before. |
6 |
Path Of Soldier |
Stablemate of Egina, both trained at this track. The season started with a bang when winning a prep race for the Deutsches Derby and fair fourth in the Deutsches Derby itself. But needs to bounce back from a comprehensive defeat on latest start. |
7 |
Think Giant |
Finished second in G3 at this track as a juvenile. Won a 2000m Class 2 event at Chantilly in June but the lowest-rated and needs to raise his game considerably to figure here. |
