G3 – 2400m – Turf

1

Al Aasy

A veteran but still highly talented at this level, over this trip and especially with some ease in the ground. Closes late on, as he did when winning at Goodwood G3 last month.

2

Sons And Lovers

All good efforts since being gelded and joining this stable and, last month, he led throughout and then showed courage when challenged for a G3 win over this course and distance.

3

Trustyourinstinct

A stylish winner of this last year and this consistent gelding must have good chances again after being given a quiet time since easily winning a G3 at the Curragh in June.

4

Fleetfoot

Twice a handicap winner this season though the application of cheekpieces didn’t help at York last time. Good ground suits.

5

Sunchart

Has mostly struggled when confronted with the type of opposition he faces here. Best chances of making an impact is on very slow ground.

6

Mo Ghille Mar

Came from the back to win a 2600m Down Royal handicap in July. But hard to see him making a big impact in this G3.

7

Acapulco Bay

Only one career win but consistent and the last two starts have been particularly encouraging though a bit more needed for this.

8

Convergent

Only four runs so far but sharp improvement each time latterly when getting to within a short-head of G1 Classic victory in the 2400m German Derby in July. Strong chance.

9

Omni Man

Looks like the third stable chance according to jockey bookings. Effective at this trip as he showed by winning a Goodwood handicap in July.

10

Reyenzi

His inexperience caused problems in the closing stages of a G3 at the Curragh in May, winning but getting demoted to third. Up to 2400m and possibilities if it suits.

11

It’s A Heartbeat

An upwardly mobile filly and, though facing a sharp rise in class, was extremely impressive when smoothly beating eight rivals in a 2400m handicap at the Curragh.
