G2 – 1200m – Turf

1

Tuvalu

Veteran G1 winner resuming from a long spell. He’s been trialling well and has a good first-up record. Best form over 1600m.

2

Airman

Consistent sprinter resuming from a spell. He races well fresh and is a winner this track and distance from two starts. He’s been trialling in good style.

3

Steparty

Classy galloper resuming from a spell who has tasted success at this track and distance. He hasn’t win for almost two years but invariably races well.

4

Arkansaw Kid

His two runs back from a spell have produced two seconds at Caulfield with the latest in a G3 over 1100m. Won this race last year and he’s ready to win it again.

5

Star Patrol

Brilliant sprinter on his day who won this race in 2023. He loves the Flemington straight but he’s only had two starts since last year. Worth thought.

6

Givemethebeatboys

Irish G3 winner and G1 placegetter who hasn’t fired in four Australian starts this year. He needs to improve to be a factor.

7

Corniche

G2 winner making his second start for new stable. At his last start he finished 5.91L 6th in a G3 at Randwick on a heavy track on 23 August.

8

Bandi’s Boy

NSW sprinter who finished 2nd two starts ago in a G3 this track and distance on 2 August before he failed on a heavy track at Randwick in a G3. He has claims.

9

Enxuto

He put together four successive wins at the start of the year including two at Flemington. He possesses an explosive finish. Chance at odds.

10

Media World

Lightly-raced horse resuming after a successful winter where he won the G3 Hawkesbury Guineas (1400m) two starts ago and then finished second in a G3 at Doomben. Respect.

11

Royal Insignia

Brilliant sprinter who finished on well for first-up 1.45L third at Caulfield over 1200m on 16 August. He’s better suited at Flemington. Go close.
