G1 – 1000m – Turf

Jm Jungle Not only a highly consistent sprinter but he seems to be fast improving as well, leaving handicap and listed company to bravely land a 1000m G2 sprint at Goodwood. Hard to ignore.
Kerdos Did win a soft-ground G2 sprint at Haydock last year, and some good sprinting efforts since without suggesting he can win a G1 like this.
Manaccan Returning from a long absence he was well beaten in G3 and G1 company, doing better in an Ascot handicap this month. Hard to fancy.
Night Raider No wins this season though some decent efforts. His four career wins have come over further than this, so vulnerable to some pure speedsters here.
Rumstar First start at York, but twice a G3 sprinting winner in 2025. Not in such sharp form when joint favourite for a G2 at the Curragh subsequently. Some others are easier to fancy.
Spartan Arrow Responded to persistent jockey pressure to win a Listed sprint at Chantilly. Struggled in G2 company last time, and this looks an uphill battle also.
Washington Heights The form of his last three runs all give him a bit of a winning chance including when too strong for his rivals in Listed company (the second has boosted the form) over this C&D.
Ain’t Nobody Has generally struggled to make a serious impact this season. Perhaps this drop back to 1000m will help – it will certainly need to.
Arizona Blaze Chances here given excellent runs in G1 and G2 sprints on last two starts. Typically showed gate speed to cosily win over 1000m at the Curragh. Best on quick ground.
Asfoora Besides high class sprinting victories in Australia, she had quickened decisively to win a 2024 Royal Ascot G1 before finishing a close fourth in this. Recent starts need a bit of improvement.
Frost At Dawn In good shape especially when coming close to a G1 victory at Ascot in June, going down fighting and proving that she could compete well in top sprinting company.
Mgheera Often slowly away but usually strong at the finish as she was when winning a Longchamp G3 sprint on first start for this stable and then a Haydock G2. Chances.
She’s Quality Second on all four starts this year, the last three times going very close to success at a G3 and G2 level. This very speedy filly handles slow ground but seems best on fast.
Celandine Very smart but mostly competes at around 1200m including when winning a G2 here last year. Could find a few too quick at this 1000m trip.
Sayidah Dariyan Posted a career best when surging from the rear in a fast-run sprint to easily win a 1200m G3 here in July. She now needs to use that electric acceleration over 1000m.
Lady Iman Trying to become the first 2yo to win this famous dash since 2007. She is very fast, showing that again when outspeeding seven rivals in a Goodwood G3 last month. Chances.
Spicy Marg Her decisive victory at Goodwood last month confirms that this 2yo is a fast improving young filly. Takes a sharp rise in class but worth at crack at her older rivals.
