1590m – Turf

1 Fearnot Has earned his high handicap mark with a succession of good performances, latterly when despite a slow start at Ascot his powerful finish proved decisive, a career best.
2 Dividend Probable excuses for a modest show here last year but generally on an upward curve, most recently with a close fourth of 30 at Royal Ascot. But this looks challenging.
3 Supido Without landing a win he has posted three good efforts in handicaps since moving from France. But he would need an even better performance to win this.
4 Montpellier Won his first two starts but two subsequent runs in stronger company represent higher achievement. Has lots of speed in his pedigree so will need to handle this rise in trip.
5 Yah Mo Be There Not up to G3 or G1 targets earlier this season. Made some encouraging late headway when fifth of 16 at Goodwood on his handicap debut.
6 Tiger Mask Highly tried at two, competing quite well at a G2 and G3 level. However, showed nothing on his 2025 return and is fitted with cheekpieces now.
7 Fifth Column This well-bred gelding has won three of his five starts since being gelded, and there was nothing wrong with his fifth at Goodwood on ground softer than preferable.
8 Teroomm Built quite a reputation earlier this season, winning his first three starts. Didn’t progress in two later starts both over the straight 1600m at Ascot. Hard to assess.
9 Big Leader The flagbearer for his small stable winning all three starts, latterly showing an admirable attitude from up front to win on his handicap debut – fast ground, this trip – at Thirsk.
10 Sea Force Facts and figures suggest gradual improvement latterly when a close fourth on testing ground in a 1600m Goodwood handicap, after having to wait to launch his challenge.
11 King Casper Beaten a long way on unsuitably testing ground last time. Much sharper when easily winning a 1600m Newmarket handicap in April but 7lb higher now.
12 We Dare To Dream His two wins have come on different surfaces but looked to find the very testing ground at Goodwood last time well against him. Harry Bentley booked.
13 Impartiality Won three consecutive handicaps early in the season and has also run really well – narrowly defeated each time – off higher handicap marks on his last two starts.
14 Sir Paul Ramsey Ran poorly on deep ground at Goodwood but bounced back to record a brave victory over nine rivals at Haydock. Competes off a 5lb higher mark now.
15 Point Of Contact Has C&D credentials having finished second in a novices’ event here in May. A little unlucky when short of room to challenge, at Goodwood last month.
16 Miami Matrix Showed improved form after being gelded winning two handicaps at Chester. But faded out in a stronger event at Goodwood.
17 Knights Gold Four times a handicap winner this year, looking to thrive on racing. Repeatedly failed to get a clear run when a close third at Goodwood. Looks interesting here.
