G3 – 1600m – Turf

Sahlan Only just caught in a 1600m G3 at ParisLongchamp in April. Hot favourite for a Listed race at Chantilly in June but just lacked a finishing kick.
Selenien A Chantilly polytrack winner in March. Never looked like winning a 1600m ParisLongchamp G1 Classic in May but made late headway after a slow start.
Chibitty Rising in grade now but does look on the improve judging by the way he accelerated clear of seven rivals in a Compiegne handicap in June.
Khafiz A Newmarket-trained gelding who has won both starts this year, albeit narrow victories in novice company. Rises in trip and it will need to help at this G3 level.
Ciaran Second, though well beaten, in a 1600m G2 German Classic in Cologne, then finishing fast for a close second in a 1600m G3 at Milan. A fast pace would help him here.
Al Aali Ran a positive second in an 1800m G3 at Chantilly in May. Didn’t run badly – though never looked like impacting – in the French Derby subsequently. Down in trip.
Heybetli Has looked vulnerable in G1 company on his last two starts so no surprise to see him dropping back to G3 company, finishing a respectable fourth at this level in April.
Scoville On just his second career start this well-bred colt led throughout to demolish his rivals over 1600m at Newmarket. A big rise in grade now but his trainer rarely makes mistakes in placing his horses.
Tiego The First A three-times winner including in 1400m Listed company here last year. Probably a career best when only just beaten in 1600m Chantilly Listed company last time.
Madero Supplemented, he is a two-times winner who has been tried over a variety of trips, most recently when a close third in 1600m Listed company at Chantilly.
Silius Won three straight races over 1500m at Cagnes-Sur-Mer early this year. Two good placed G3 efforts followed, though not so effective in a 1400m G1 here last month.
Tito Mo Cen Twice a good winner on the Chantilly polytrack early this year. Nothing much wrong with two G3 efforts since but more needed now, possibly helped by this drop down in trip.
