1400m – Polytrack
1 |
Ciao Pa’ |
Has dropped in the handicap despite G3 placing in May but clearly a force to reckoned with on current form and off current mark. |
2 |
Skylight Brochard |
Continues to hold his form well at this level and has won on the all-weather at this track. Will have his supporters. |
3 |
Lanaken |
Loves to bowl along in front and back in the winning groove over 1400m at Saint-Cloud. Won this in 2023 and clearly one to consider. |
4 |
Mr Fleurant |
His form is steadily improving after abortive attempts at Group/Listed level and has each-way claims if building on solid finish (second) at Saint-Cloud. |
5 |
Times Warrior |
Hasn’t reflected his bright start to the season on his last two starts, but running-on seventh (drawn wide) at ParisLongchamp hinted at better times ahead. |
6 |
Rakan |
Remains a formidable force on the all-weather (nine wins) which include four at this course, and his recent form clearly demands respect. |
7 |
Rock Boy |
Went off the boil earlier in the season but successful spell in claimers seems to have rekindled his enthusiasm. Not dismissed. |
8 |
Reverso |
Has proved a good money spinner in France and the Czech Republic. Yet to recover last year’s sparkle (Listed placed) and market should be the best guide. |
9 |
Cynosure |
This ex British runner was just touched off in a hot claimer at ParisLongchamp. He’s clearly better than that level and could surprise. |
10 |
Talentuoso |
Has shown modest form this season and still seems a long way off last year’s heights (Listed placed), but he has plummeted down the handicap. |
11 |
Pumalin Park |
Did win at this level at ParisLongchamp (16-1) in April but his form is otherwise patchy and consistency clearly isn’t his forte. |
12 |
Reve de Vallarsa |
Has performed consistently at Class Two/Three level this season. Loves to race up with the pace but could prove vulnerable to a closer. |
13 |
Josephino |
A versatile type whose four French wins have all been on the all-weather. Retains plenty of ability but hasn’t raced for nearly three months. |
14 |
Forchester |
Ran another sound race when second in this class at Vichy. However, is finding it hard to win as he is currently riding a 12-race losing streak. |
15 |
Cosmo Beau |
Thrived on the all-weather (two wins) during the winter. Not as effective since on turf and a return to polytrack could be a bonus. |
16 |
Alabama Moon |
Failed to justify favouritism (ninth) on very soft ground at Compiegne. Otherwise consistent but she hasn’t tasted success since February 2024. |
