2200m – Turf
Murray | Keeps surprising and clearly in good heart at present. New trip needs to bring out more improvement, otherwise vulnerable to better-treated horses. Jockey and trainer famously combined to win the German Derby.
Black Phantom | Unbeaten this year. Couldn’t be in better form but clear chances despite being on a career-high mark.
Oak Ivy | Tough mare who had a rare poor run last time.
Oak Lahoma | The half-brother to Oak Ivy. Coming back in trip is a positive. Each-way possibilities.
Eau de Cologne | Well beaten last over C&D in recent two starts. Hard to fancy here.
Tiara Hilleshage | Full sister of mighty Arc winner Torquator Tasso, though much less talented. But not without hope in this company.
Westminster Eagle | No chance in a Polish race latest, but form of his earlier win couldn’t be worked out much better. In top hands and clear chance.
Koffi Vulcano | Consistent sort who is creeping up the weights. Needs to bounce back from a rare bad run. Stable out of form lately.
Asmira | Made a mockery of her odds when winning her latest start. Handicap mark seems fair but comes up against older horses with good form.
Lorella | Filly whose handicap debut resulted in emphatic win. This is tougher.
Manon des Bois | A winner last year, but weaker runs since. Needs to improve on underwhelming seasonal debut and stable jockey rides Koffi Vulcano.
Margherita Luti | Has won over C&D but needs to leave underwhelming seasonal debut behind.
Zakaria | Fair form at this track three runs ago, and could run well at decent odds.
