Ex-German trained globetrotter and winner of this last year. Ran a terrific third at 48-1 in a 2000m G1 at Sha Tin in April and in with a big shout here.

Having a terrific season, with a G3 and G2 win and a narrow defeat in a G1. James Doyle’s mount looks a very serious player.

English raider who is fully effective at this trip. In fine fettle this year, and at his best when scoring at Epsom in June. But hasn’t won above G3 level and likely to find a few stronger rivals.

Petit Marin

The mount of Nina Baltromei, the first woman ever to win a major European Derby. Petit Marin is a grand campaigner, but likely to find a few of these too good.

Quest The Moon

Trained at the track and huge fan favourite at the tender age of nine. And no back number, charging late to land a G3 at Hamburg latest. Has been supplemented so clearly ready to run for his life, even if this looks a tough assignment.

Dare To Dream

This French raider easily won at Clairefontaine this month but hasn’t won above G3 level and is likely to be found wanting here.

Egina

Raced mainly against her own sex and progressive in that sphere including a Baden-Baden Listed victory. Has each-way possibilities.

Grand Stars

Has improved since joining the stable of former iconic jockey Gerald Mosse. No win at Group level but has been running reallywell behind some top horses this season. Has each-way chances.

Lazio

German trained 3yo contender. Bids to back up good third in German Derby three weeks ago. Chances on ratings with the age allowance but needs to step up all the same.

Tornado Alert

Represents the mighty Godolphin empire, and a veteran trainer who is no stranger to German G1 glory. Fine effort in defeat in a G3 at Royal Ascot last month. Has a major chance on ratings and a top international jockey in the saddle.
