G2 – 2061m – Turf

    Almaqam |
Will take some beating here if in the same brilliant shape as his front-running G3 victory at Sandown in May, the second having landed a G1 since. |

2 |
    Certain Lad |
Has survived various injuries to develop a terrific career and, as an 8yo last year, still managed to win a ParisLongchamp G3. Soft ground required. |

3 |
    Ecureuil Secret |
Delivered a career best on his first start since being gelded when surging clear in an Epsom handicap. Needs to do even better here. Slow ground helpful. |

4 |
    Royal Champion |
An all-weather G3 winner in February, then not beaten far in a strong Sandown G3. Couldn’t handle G1 company at Royal Ascot last time. |

5 |
    Bay City Roller |
A G2 winner at Doncaster as a 2yo. Up in trip this year, and only narrowly beaten by a highly regarded unbeaten rival in a 2000m G2 at Saint-Cloud. |

6 |
    Green Impact |
An Irish challenger who led throughout to win an 1800m Listed event at Leopardstown, then looking to stay the 2400m in the Irish Derby – though not good enough. |

7 |
    Stanhope Gardens |
Lightly raced but highly regarded. Ran a worthy fifth in the Derby at Epsom, running out of steam late on. This shorter trip looks helpful and he remains interesting. |
