| 6 | Royal Spirit | Has worked his way up and a handicap winner against elders latest. Well in and big shout for top connections. |
| 7 | Westwood | Impressive winner of his maiden, but more needed here. |
| 8 | Dragon Magic | Impressive winner of his only lifetime start, one for the shortlist for sure. |
| 9 | Royal Ice | Similar profile as Dragon Magic and open to improvement. Adrie de Vries chose to Dragon Magic however. |
| 10 | Querencia | Represents powerful connections and well in. |
| 11 | Ajuja | One of the lowest ratings and carries overweight, hard to fancy. |
| 12 | Daddy’s Heart | Thrown in at the deep end and hard to fancy. |
| 13 | Cahaya | Will be a long odds outsider. No obvious chance. |
| 14 | Mabel | Low rating but low weight, no obvious form chances but very shrewd connections who can pull a rabbit out of the hat. |
