1800m – Turf

Thunder Wonder |
Has blown hot and cold in a season highlighted by two wins at Musselburgh. Ran as his 40-1 odds suggested when unplaced (18th) in a hot Royal Ascot handicap last time and has plenty of weight. |
2 |
Mississippi River |
Accounted for a colt who went on to be G2 placed at Royal Ascot at Navan in April, and has since added to that win at Leopardstown. Yet to finish out of the first three in eight starts and very much a major player. |
3 |
Shiota |
Built on shock 33-1 win at Naas with follow up victory in a competitive handicap at the Curragh. Has been penalised by the handicapper for latest success but clearly continues in great form. |
4 |
Viking Invasion |
Has performed creditably without winning since Gowran Park success in October. Not disgraced (third) on return trip to latter venue last time, and slightly shorter trip should be in his favour. |
5 |
Dignam |
Outran his prohibitive 80-1 odds to post a seasonal best when fourth at Gowran Park last time. Could prove troublesome if building on that, although form was largely uninspiring before that. |
6 |
Iron Fist |
Promising maiden whose second at Fairyhouse was a step in the right direction, but further progress is probably called for. |
7 |
Lady In Paris |
Showed improved form to create a 20-1 surprise in Leopardstown handicap. Showed an impressive attitude on that occasion but this promises to be a whole lot tougher. |
8 |
Tangapour |
Hasn’t translated his juvenile promise to his second season on the evidence of two below par efforts. Has questions to answer but probably capable of better. One to monitor in the betting. |
9 |
Calrissiana |
Broke maiden at seventh attempt at Naas on 10 May. Dropped 2lbs as a result of subsequent sixth in Curragh handicap. Others preferred. |
10 |
Triple Double A |
The British visitor reeled off a quickfire hat-trick earlier in the season, Not beaten far in three subsequent attempts, and plenty of encouragement to be had from those efforts. Has each-way appeal. |
11 |
Its All Peachy |
Successive seconds at Gowran Park and Leopardstown would suggest that her turn is near, although debatable whether it will be here. |
12 |
Sujet |
Ran in some decent maidens in 2024 and only just missed out on fourth at Leopardstown in October. Unraced since and so fitness must be taken on trust. |
13 |
Nyman |
A drifter in the betting (18-1) but still ran a decent race when third in a competitive heat at Naas. Could surprise. |
