G2 – 1000m – Turf

Afjan This French raider didn’t have much difficulty winning a 1100m unraced at Chantilly on this month’s career debut.
Ameeq More professional on his second start when winning a Nottingham maiden. Much deeper waters here.
Charles Darwin Has won his last two starts impressively, booking his ticket for this when leading throughout at Naas. A serious player.
Clear Force Led throughout and clocked a decent time when scoring at Ripon but then a slightly disappointing favourite at Sandown.
Comical Point Showed bright speed from the gate to win over 1000m on fast-ground at Salisbury in May. But that was not a strong race.
Exclamation Much the best of his three starts was his latest when second at Chester, and the form of that race is looking quite strong.
First Legion Surged from the back to win a 1200m York novice, then a bit unlucky not to win a Listed event over this trip at Sandown.
Graft Improving with experience this French-trained colt won a 1000m Listed event at Chantilly early this month.
Hey Tru Blue Drops down to 1000m and rises sharply in class after finishing second of 13 at Leicester on his debut.
Irish Fighter Outpaced for some of the trip but finished well into second at Wolverhampton on his debut. Unlikely to be fast enough.
Lil Brother Plenty of promise from both career starts so far, latterly when scoring at Nottingham last week. A good horse for a small stable.
London Boy An expensive purchase who was well backed to beat some more experienced rivals at Brighton last week, winning nicely.
Naval Light Expensively bought. Slowly away but made eyecatching headway to finish second in the same Beverley race the stable ran last year’s winner of this in. Interesting.
Sandal’s Song A challenger from the US, he looked fast when winning over this trip on a quick surface at Gulfstream Park last month.
Star Material Has improved race by race latterly when beating seven rivals over this trip at Ripon this month. In much deeper waters here.
Wise Approach A 1000000 gns purchase who kicked off his career with a win over this course and distance. Didn’t look to improve for a longer trip at York, dropping back to 1000m now.
