    Dawn Rising |
Two years ago he won the even longer Royal Ascot marathon. But way below his best both 2025 starts. |

2 |
    Artistic Star |
Returned from another absence to run a decent fourth in a 2800m Newmarket handicap. Wants fast ground. Stamina worries. |

3 |
    Divine Comedy |
Ran a brave and close second in this last year. Still handicapped for a good show if able to repeat that. |

4 |
    San Salvador |
Led throughout to win at Killarney in May but well held in a stronger race subsequently. Hard to fancy. |

5 |
    Align The Stars |
Won three consecutive handicaps last year. Mixed form since. Much depends on how he handles Ascot and this marathon trip. |

6 |
    Feigning Madness |
Last of four in a G3 here in April but not disgraced then, and worth trying over this longer trip. |

7 |
    East India Dock |
Will be one of the favourites, following a highly fruitful hurdling campaign and then a brave victory in a prestigious Chester handicap. Stamina looks his forte. |

8 |
    Manxman |
Consistent and progressive latterly gaining his seventh career win, at Goodwood. Still ignoring his rising handicap mark. |

9 |
    Ascending |
Showed a really willing attitude to gain the better of a tight finish in a 2400m Cork handicap on his 2025 return. |

10 |
    Liari |
A successful hurdler who returned to flat to record an impressive front-running 2800m victory at Newmarket. Should stay this trip. |

11 |
    Zoffee |
Has plenty of stamina and won a prestigious marathon handicap in 2024, running a good third in the same race last month. |

12 |
    Saturn |
Has twice won over 2800m latterly at Navan in April. Ran a dismal race when favourite at Cork last time. May struggle. |

13 |
    Nurburgring |
Most success so far over hurdles and well beaten over an inadequate trip on flat last month. Colin Keane rides him for the first time. |

14 |
    Alphonse Le Grande |
Likely to be sharper than on his 2025 return when not given a hard race. Won a marathon Newmarket handicap last year. Slow ground helps. |

15 |
    Reaching High |
Delivered a tremendous performance, only just failing to win a Leopardstown handicap last month. Live hopes if this longer trip suits. |

16 |
    Comfort Zone |
Last seen on flat when too strong for 19 rivals in a Naas handicap. Much will depend on how he handles this longer trip and likely fast ground. |

17 |
    Leinster |
Two fine efforts this season, latterly when fourth under a forward ride in a hot Chester handicap. His brilliant rider may try to relax him early over this marathon trip. |

18 |
    Woot City |
Some strong performances in France where stamina was required including a 3200m Deauville handicap victory. |

    Mr Hampstead |
Beautifully bred and improvement since being gelded with two excellent efforts over 3200m at Goodwood, including a runaway victory. |

    Poniros |
Useful on flat prior to his 100-1 shock win in a G1 hurdle race. Very interesting if this marathon test proves favourable. |
