1800m – Turf
Admiral Ship | Sired by Gold Ship. In his most recent outing, however, he finished second over this course and distance, marking a significant step forward considering his previous struggles in left-handed races. |
And Roses | Has shown consistency in this class with finishing on board. Well beaten only once when extending the distance to 2400m in February but returned her form last time, finishing a close 2nd. |
Clutch Player | With an elite pedigree, by Duramente out of a dual G1winner in the US, his immature temperament initially delayed his progression, but he sustained a strong run through a fast pace for his first win last time. With his long stride, he should ideally be suited to a spacious track. |
Dream Cruise | Her best effort in this class was 3rd over 1600m at Tokyo in October 2024. Her latest run was 4L 4th over this course and distance on 18 May. |
Easy Breezy | Returned from a break in January with a strong second-place finish at Nakayama, her performance in the next two starts were better than what the finishing positions might suggest. She tends to struggle in races decided by a sharp turn of foot. If the track retains some moisture on race day due to rain, her chances may improve. |
Flugelhorn | Winless for almost three and a half years. Had two-digit finishes in two starts in this class this term. |
Jazz | In his last outing, he won the battle for the third place, staying on best of the closers. Given the way the race unfolded, his late run deserves credit. |
Lord Affetto | First run from a 9-month layoff since 15th in this class (2000m) at Sapporo in August 2024. |
Mendorong Ddo Ddot | Showed little in six starts over 1600m and 1800m this term. Needs more. |
Nathan | Has not made any success since transferred to JRA in July 2024 but clearly showed improvement when 1.5L 5th in this class (2000m) at Niigata last time. |
Nishino Ti Amo | Returns from a layoff of over seven months. Although her two starts last autumn unfolded at a slow pace that didn’t suit her strengths, she owns solid credentials—most notably a runner-up finish in the listed race over this course and distance during her 3-y-o campaign. |
Orso Bianco | Won the newcomer race (2000m) in 2023 but has shown little since. Unable to make a successful bid for transaction from turf to dirt last time. |
Pastorale | A consistent performer at the current class proved himself at various tracks. The switch to 1800m should work, especially given his ability to lead or sit handy. |
Sammaru Somnia | Has not tasted any success for almost three years. First run over this surface since August 2021. |
Twinkle Stage | Struggled to follow quick pace and finished out of frame in three starts this term. |
Yukino Furumachi | Two-digit finishes in recent two starts in this class both on dirt and turf respectively. |
