1600m – Turf

1 Dante’s Lad A Kempton winner over this trip in November. Gradually faded from a prominent position at Newmarket on his return but should be sharper for that first start for 163 days.
2 Roman Centurion First start in a handicap having proved too strong for eleven rivals in a maiden at Yarmouth on this month’s 2025 return to action. Fast ground may suit best.
3 Nakeeb Three encouraging performances from three runs so far and gained his first victory when leading for most of the way in a Doncaster maiden this month. Fought hard then.
4 Regalian Much too strong for his rivals in a weak event on his debut. Despite showing inexperience his subsequent fast-finishing third at Southwell was promising.
5 Rogue Diplomat Led for much of the trip when easily winning at Leicester in April. Probably ran to about the same level when sixth in a Newmarket handicap this month. Needs to settle better.
6 Shameful Slow at the start but strong at the finish when winning over 1200m here on his only start last season. Gelded since a respectable second at Kempton on his 2025 return.
7 Gilet One win and four seconds in his seven-race career. Made a quite decent start to 2025 when fifth of eleven in a Newmarket handicap. Up to 1600m for the first time.
8 Hyperchromatic Gained two victories – both over 1400m – in the latter part of 2024. Looked as though 1600m would suit him well when second over a bit shorter in a handicap in April.
9 Hot Cash His challenge fizzled out in the closing stages at Sandown last time. Drops down in trip now but may find a few of these rivals too quick.
10 Solar Army Gelded prior to winning a modest 1400m handicap at Kempton. Returned to turf and off a 4lb higher mark he acquitted himself well when second at Newmarket. Up to 1600m.
11 Well Enough Came from last to first to win a Southwell handicap in March. Beaten a long way on his turf debut last month which was not encouraging.
12 Happy Banner Has now twice run poorly at Newmarket, including on his 2025 return. However, he clearly has ability showing that with a front-running victory at Kempton in December.
13 General Admission An expensive 2yo purchase who is struggling for his first win and now fitted with a visor. His challenge fizzled out over 2000m at Newmarket recently. Drops back down in trip.
