RACE 4 – MARKWIN
After the race, MARKWIN was found to have bled from both nostrils. MARKWIN was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer W K Mo this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. As previously advised, MARKWIN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
RACE 5 – LUCKY SWEYNESSE
After the race, LUCKY SWEYNESSE was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. LUCKY SWEYNESSE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K L Man this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY SWEYNESSE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during yesterday’s race meeting were shown to have no significant findings.
