1800m – Dirt
Cor De Anil |
Has only two finishes on board in last 10 starts at this level, both 1800m, largely over left-handed tracks. First time at Kyoto with new rider. Showed good turn of foot recently. Could surprise. |

Double Joke |
Was switched to shorter distances after two poor finishes at this level but with little luck. Now back at 1800 with a 2-4 last month, both over Kyoto 1800m. Worth a wager. Slow to fire but has good turn of foot. |

Hrungnir |
Races handily. Four finishes in top three while only two poor results from six starts, with late break and return from layoff likely factors. This time returning after 4 months. Weight on raceday should be noted. |

Kazu Laureato |
Has failed to win over last 16 starts, with only two finishes in money and 5 on the board. Likely not competitive here. |

Kurfurst |
Versatile colt but tends to race handily. On a roll from February with 5 straight finishes in top three. Finished third last out at this level following layoff and improvement expected. Nice late kick. |

Marble Mountain |
3-year-old filly moving up in class. Both wins over left-handed tracks with an 8-6 racing to right. First time at Kyoto. Has good speed, but may not perform at best to right. |

Over The Dream |
Took nine starts to move up to this class. Disappointed in last two outings, likely due to heavy going and a left-handed track. Rather inconsistent. Return to Kyoto likely a plus. |

Patient Sien |
Moving up in class. Ritto-based 3-year-old has only 5 career starts with three of them in the money. Late break and long haul to track likely factors in poor finishes. Is 1-2-1 over Kyoto 1800m. Venue certainly a plus. |

Rouge Chouette |
3-year-old filly moving up in class after only two starts after breaking maiden. Finished in top three over last six starts. Is 3-1 over Kyoto 1800m. Good early speed. Will have female jockey Naho Furukawa up, with field’s lightest weight of 112lb. Promising. |

Sky Dweller |
Moved to this level last start. Won at NAR track after four previous poor finishes over JRA tracks. First time at Kyoto, but speed likely not competitive here. |

Turbulencia |
7-year-old has best two fifths in last six starts. Speed lacking. Likely not competitive here. |

Zapatear |
Has best third and only finish on the board from four starts at this level. Tends to race handily but one gear. New jockey booked. Not promising. |
