Listed – 1800m – Turf

1

Unspoken

Has been freshened for this after running last in G2 Shannon Handicap (1500m) at big odds. Does race well fresh.

2

Zechariah

Former European who didn’t do much on his Australian debut in G3 1400m at Caulfield in October. Could improve.

3

Midnight Blue

Raced handy to score by 1L over 1600m in the Seymour Cup. Can repeat that performance.

4

Antrim Coast

Disappointing in Seymour Cup (1600m) when only plodded home to finish a long last. Form before that had been okay.

5

Arran Bay

Has won 3 at the track and raced well in the Listed Sale Cup (1600m) when finished 0.4L 2nd. Can show up.

6

Earl Of Tyrone

Came from well back in the Seymour Cup (1600m) to finish second, beaten 1L at big odds. Was fresh for that and will improve.

7

Jimi Hendrix

Worked home okay in the Seymour Cup (1600m) to finish 6th, beaten 2.95L, without threatening. Best run for a while but others better.

8

Apulia

Rise from 1500m when a narrow 2nd at Moonee Valley is ideal for this. Will be fitter second-up and poses a threat.

9

Makram

Performed well in the Sale Cup (1600m) when came from last to finish 4th, beaten 1.25L. Is building up to win and distance suits.

10

Cafe Millenium

Was good at his last run when finishing 3rd at Randwick, beaten 2.16L in similar grade of race over 1600m. In the mix.

11

Strawberry Rock

Hasn’t raced since finishing 3rd in the Listed Sandown Cup (3200m) in June, beaten 3.25L. The 1800m is ideal first-up and hard to beat.

12

Maktoob

Fought on well to finished 3rd in the Seymour Cup (1600m), beaten 1.75L, at his last start. Will need to keep improving to threaten here.

13

Behtar

Finished last in fresh run over 1400m at Randwick when raced handy for his first Australian run. Is fitter but needs to show more.

14

Sir Rockford

Jumped up in class to finish third in a handicap over 2050m at Moe on heavy track, beaten 5.75L. This looks too tough.
