Veight

Only beat one home at his last run in the G1 Manikato Stakes (1200m), but the jockey wasn’t disappointed. He was first-up after winning the G1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill in March. Can bounce back.

Bases Loaded

Has had plenty of support at his last two races when he finished a narrow 2nd in the G2 Theo Marks Stakes (1300m) and the followed it up with a 2.77L 7th in the G2 Shannon Stakes (1500m). This is tougher.

Xidaki

Has been solid since getting out of maiden grade. Is a last start winner of the Winx Guineas (1600m) on a heavy track. Will be in the mix if track conditions suit.

Ostraka

Extremely consistent gelding who has won his past three, including a Listed 1200m race. He last two wins have been a lower level but he is a progressive type who is worth following.

Moravia

Has a win and second at past two starts in restricted races. Was second at his last start, beaten narrowly at Randwick over 1200m. The slight rise in distance will suit.

Rhythm Of Love

Tends to mix his form but is capable of a good run, especially on soft tracks. Didn’t do much last start when raced handy but faded to be beaten by 6.28L over 1200m at Randwick when had little luck.

Franz Josef

Has only been out of the money once in six starts which includes four wins. This is a big step up in grade but should be competitive. His finished 11th at his last start at Rosehill over 1800m.

Port Lockroy

Was good when resuming at Randwick when he finished strongly in third, beaten 0.25L over 1200m. His two wins have been at 1600m and 1800m, but he is a progressive type who can keep improving.

Flying Trapeze

Has consistent recent form in easier races, including his last start 4th, beaten 2.7L over 1400m on the Sunshine Coast in August. Finished 5th in a Warwick Farm 818m trial in preparation for this. Others better.

War Machine

Consistent galloper who has been unplaced only once in six starts. Has come through the grades nicely, winning three in a row, including the Listed Bendigo Guineas (1400m). Was second at Moonee Valley when resuming.

Kimochi

Raced three wide without cover in Manikato Stakes (1200m) when 4th, beaten 2.4L. Has plenty of ability and can bounce back if gets luck in the run. Has only been unplaced once in eight races at the track.

Stretan Angel

Slow to begin and raced keenly during the early and middle stages in the G2 Gilgai Stakes at Flemington (1200m). Came from last to nab 3rd, beaten 0.42L. Is yet to win beyond 1100m but is G1 placed at 1200m. Must respect.

Konasana

Handles all track conditions. Had two recent trials after finishing her last campaign with an unplaced run over 1600m. Is a G3 winner so demands some respect in tough field.

Well Timed

His last six runs have been extremely consistent with three wins and three minor places. Is a last start winner at Randwick over 1400m in a restricted race. Will need to handle the rise in class.
