1800m - Turf

Cosmo Dinner

After a very promising begin to her career, this filly, often late out of the gate, has failed to make board in seven starts despite change in distance. Likely not a contender.

Electric Boogie

Third start at this level after posting 3-6 over same distance and second start in a row at Nakayama. Maintaining condition and should prove competitive.

Flaminia

Maurice filly has consistently made top five in 12-start career and is 5-4-2 since moving to this level. Slow away last out over Nakayama 1800m, she recovered nicely and finished second. Excellent late speed and highly competitive here if she can pull off the break successfully.

Gaju Nori

Versatile filly won in late June over Hakodate 1800m in class below. Bar too high in G2 given early this month, but is prepped and looking good in training. Could prove competitive if able to deliver a forward attack.

Girls' Legend

Filly rising in class after winning smartly over Nakayama 1800m two weeks ago. Could be competitive here if she can take the lead again. Tough schedule may be a disadvantage, but not to be dismissed.

Humming

Lightly raced filly, scored two wins in five starts. Was disadvantaged by wide draw and interference last out in G2 company. Can be slow away but has talent and likely competitive here.

Lord Reinado

After two poor finishes from debut last year, 3-year-old colt given time off and returned to score two wins in a row this summer. Back after two months and first time at this level. Performed well in morning work. Good late speed but competition will be stiff.

Luce Rossa

Filly ran fourth over Nakayama 1800m early this month in second start at this level. Tighter, right-handed track seemed a better fit than previous start at left-handed Niigata. Showed tenacity in holding ground in final stage. Not to be dismissed.

Meiner Bricks

Second start at this level. Raced wide and unable to get a clear run at final stage last out at Sapporo. Has been getting sufficient training and could surprise. Worth a wager if price is right.

Meisho Lanakila

Good early speed. Two thirds in last 10 starts at this level or higher. Finished third early this month over Nakayama 1800m after nearly four months break while the winner made all with gate advantage. Improvement likely.

Metal Spark

7-year-old gelding occasionally surprised by making third. Returned after two months and ran 5th with ground-saving run over Nakayama 1600m. Extra furlong not a concern. Worth a wager for longshot.

Montana Agate

Has been late away over last three starts. Finished third over same course and distance at end of 2023 and begin of this year. Morning work is decent. Possible candidate for a longshot wager.

Revoltade

Following second in debut over Tokyo 1800m, was given more distance (2000m-2500m) over next nine starts. Gelded after a third in four starts at this level, returns to shorter trip once again. First start since May. Not promising but could surprise.

Wisteria River

Early speed with good results but inconsistent. Returning after three months. Has done well at Nakayama but likely needs a sharpener. Darkhorse.
