2400m – Turf
1 | Kliff Bere | Although his three wins have come at lesser tracks than this, he has performed well at this course and was also a close third at Saint-Cloud in June, his last start. |
2 | Cassius | Hasn’t managed a win in five starts this year and will certainly need to upgrade on his last four efforts to have a chance here. |
3 | Dire La Verite | The surprise winner – leading throughout – on his career debut, over 1600m at Chelmsford. Has run several good races without winning since moving to France. This longer trip may help. |
4 | Get Set | An eight-time winner and that includes ParisLongchamp success albeit over a shorter distance than this. Looks to just about stay this trip and won over 2200m at Chantilly in June. |
5 | Moonwalk Step | A hardened veteran who runs over a variety of trips and last year was still capable of winning, scoring consecutive victories at Saint-Cloud in November. Wants slow ground. |
6 | Santurin | Ended a losing sequence when beating ten rivals in a 2400m handicap at Lyon Parilly in June. Not very reliable but chances if in the right mood. |
7 | Mykiss | Has enjoyed plenty of success and seems well suited to ParisLongchamp, and this trip. He had bravely got the better of a tight finish here in June. |
8 | Circeo | Although only once a winner there have been some good efforts and perhaps the best came on his only previous run here when second. Looks fairly handicapped. |
9 | Robinie | Two runs over this course and distance earlier this season were not among her better performances. But stays this trip well and not beaten far at Deauville last time. |
10 | Proletarius | A useful performer on the Polish circuit, he has been supplemented after finishing a fair fourth behind a group winning stayer at Clairefontaine. Each way chance. |
11 | Pentaour | Having a good 2024, winning his last two starts and latterly quickening nicely to win a handicap over this course and distance in June. May still be ahead of the handicapper. |
12 | I’m A Believer | Two modest displays in 2000m handicaps here earlier this year. Hard to recommend on that basis and with stamina queries as well. |
13 | Utamaro | No wins from six starts in 2024 but had briefly looked like winning this race last year when finishing third of 15. Some chances if in the same mood this time. |
14 | Combermere | Has bounced back to his best form on his last two starts with victories at Saint-Cloud and Deauville, showing a fighting spirit on the later occasion. |
15 | Matauri Gold | Plenty of experience of this track, including when coming close to gaining a surprise victory in this race last year. A repeat would see her go close again here. |
16 | Storm City | Probably done few favours by the draw on the Deauville all-weather (seventh) last time. Had been in fair form before that and appeals as an interesting outsider on his return to turf. |
