Havana Ball

This UK challenger is clearly effective in this class, having travelled to Hanover to win a 1400m event, leading for most of the trip, in May on her last start.

Les Pavots

Swooped from the back to win a heavy ground G2 here last August. Hasn’t matched that level in two 2024 starts and supporters will hope for a revival here.

Valdivara

Easily justified favouritism when winning on soft ground over 1200m here last August. Hasn’t built on that in two starts since but would need to if she’s to win this.

Wild Goddess

First start in France since moving to the current French stable, having twice won over this trip at Newmarket last year. Back on turf since a poor show on dirt at Meydan.

Schikeria

Beat eleven other unraced fillies over 1600m at Saint-Cloud, then just failed in a stronger event over that course and distance. She is clearly smart.

Pemba Bay

Didn’t make much impact the only previous time she tackled Listed company but did gain her first career win in a 1400m maiden at Le Mans in May.

Miaharris

This UK challenger moves up to this trip for the first time with her two career wins coming at around 1000m. A good third in a 1200m Chantilly G3 last time.

Fair Angellica

Apart from not featuring in a huge field at Royal Ascot on her latest start – probably not suited by the fast ground – she has shown lots of talent to win four of her five previous starts. Chances if back at her best.

Shady Lady

Was gradually closing down on the winner when second in a heavy ground 1400m G3 at Chantilly last October. But a little below that form twice this year.

Three solid efforts this season perhaps doing best on very slow ground, conditions that saw her win over 1600m at Saint-Cloud in March.
