1200m – Turf
1 |
Ozan |
Ended last season with a flourish and shaped as if return race (eighth) would do him power of good last time. Cards to play but high in the handicap. |
2 |
Rock Boy |
Didn’t pick up a testing track (fourth) last time, but otherwise consistent form this season and returns to a track where he has done well in the past. |
3 |
Tudo Bem |
This admirable servant to the yard hasn’t won since October 2022. However, he has performed well enough in better company to suggest that he could prove competitive here. |
4 |
Wild West |
He won a similar contest at Chantilly in April before turning in a rare bad effort last time. Has the ability to bounce back but will need to defy a career high mark. |
5 |
Purest Time |
Invariably thereabouts in sprint handicaps. Has been given some respite by the handicapper and return to 1200m should suit. |
6 |
Centenario |
Defends a 100 per cent record for current trainer following successive wins in Class 3 handicaps at Lyon Parilly. Has risen sharply in the weights but clearly in rude health at present. |
7 |
Torpen |
Has showed improved form when posting solid efforts on his last three starts, and much to like about his third behind a classy customer at Saint-Cloud. |
8 |
Chirimiri |
Has yet to hit his stride this term. However, his last time out seventh when not getting the smoothest of runs was a step in the right direction. One to note in the betting. |
9 |
Baileys Blues |
On a downward spiral since winning Class 2 handicap on the all-weather here in November, and hard to see him snapping six race losing streak on current form. |
10 |
Tertius |
Admirably consistent and plenty to like about his running-on third in Compiegne last time despite meeting traffic problems. Not discounted. |
11 |
Forchester |
Successful at Cagnes-sur-Mer in the winter and in the frame on last two outings and possible place prospects. |
12 |
White Platin |
Given a positive ride when a running-on well fifth in Class 2 handicap on ParisLongchamp, and he looks to be on a good mark at present. |
13 |
Drogo |
Has blown hot and cold this season but possibilities if able to reproduce his creditable second in a Class 2 handicap two starts backs. |
14 |
Whistle And Flute |
Still searching the first winner after ten attempts for his new French yard but clearly capable and he outran his 38-1 odds (closed well from off the pace) when second on penultimate start. |
15 |
Victory Salute |
Has yet to reflect the good form of his yard this season and it’s difficult to make a case for him on the basis of his last three runs. |
16 |
Ismael Paint |
Is knocking on the door following consecutive seconds. An unlucky loser at Dieppe last time, he remains of interest on current mark. |
