HKJC Horse Race Betting Limited will broadcast a total of four oversea races in Hong Kong on Sunday, 26 May, including Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby) from Tokyo Racecourse in Japan, Prix d’Ispahan from ParisLongchamp Racecourse in France, as well as Tattersalls Gold Cup and Irish 1000 Guineas from Curragh Racecourse in Ireland on the same evening. Bets will be accepted* for these races and Double will be offered for Tattersalls Gold Cup and Irish 1000 Guineas.
For the races of Tattersalls Gold Cup and Irish 1000 Guineas, World Pool will be offered (Win, Place, Quinella, Quinella Place, Forecast, Tierce) to ensure maximum liquidity for racegoers.
For Prix d’Ispahan, Win and Place bets will be outbound commingled with the respective pools operated by Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU) of France △, in accordance with the modified horse race betting rules of PMU. Quinella, Quinella Place and other exotic bet pools will still be operated under Hong Kong separate pools. If the bets on outbound commingling pools cannot be included in the PMU pools, the dividends will then be calculated based on the Hong Kong pool only and in accordance with PMU’s calculation formula.
Betting on outbound commingled pools is similar to the way of betting on Hong Kong pools. The odds are calculated according to PMU’s method, that is, the investment is deducted prior to the division of the dividend pool (Photo 1). The odds displayed will change to show the odds of the PMU pools when the Hong Kong investment of the current race has been outbound commingled with PMU, and after the dividends of the preceding race have been confirmed. The Place odds are the minimum value odds in the range (Photo 2). In other words, the final Place odds could either be the same or higher than the value indicated. Race times and betting pools
The simulcast race of Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby) is scheduled as S1-1, and is due to start at 2:40 pm on 26 May. Ten local races will be held at Sha Tin Racecourse on the same afternoon. The local races have been scheduled as Races 1 to 10. The simulcast race of Prix d’Ispahan is scheduled as S2-1, and is due to start at 9:40 pm on the same evening. The simulcast races of Tattersalls Gold Cup and Irish 1000 Guineas are scheduled as S3-1 and S3-2, and are due to start at 10:10 pm and 10:45 pm respectively on the same evening. “S1” “S2” or “S3” must be indicated for overseas race bets
Customers betting with cash or through Digital Channels** on overseas races should mark the “S1 box”, “S2 box” or “S3 box” and race number on the ticket or as required by the Digital Channels** interfaces. Those placing bets via Telebet should clearly indicate the overseas race and race number to the operators. Those using the 1886 Telebet Automated Services should input “overseas race” and the race number, respectively.
If “S1”, “S2” or “S3” is not indicated as required, any bets placed will be accepted as bets for the corresponding local race.

The odds and starter information for overseas races will be available at all OCBBs# and via Digital Channels**.
Ticket sales arrangement for the overseas races
Tickets for Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby) and Prix d’Ispahan will be available for sale from 12:00 noon on Saturday, 25 May. Tickets for Tattersalls Gold Cup and Irish 1000 Guineas will be available for sale from 5:00 pm on Sunday, 26 May. (Subject to further announcement by the Club)
