The Hong Kong Jockey Club bought a pair of eye-catching colts at the recent 2024 Australian Inglis Easter Yearling Sale (7-8 April) in Sydney, Australia for a total outlay of AU$590,000 (approx. HK$3.012 million).
Lot 63 – a son of Toronado – was the first to fall the Club’s way for AU$350,000. The sire is having a superb season in Hong Kong, led by recent Group 1 hero Victor The Winner and Helios Express, winner of the Hong Kong Classic Mile (1600m) and Hong Kong Classic Cup (1800m) – legs one and two of the 2024 Four-Year-Old Classic Series.
The Club went to AU$240,000 for Lot 151, who is out of Group 3-winning mare Miss Exfactor and sired by Deep Field, who needs little introduction in Hong Kong, with his progeny including Voyage Bubble, Sky Field, Howdeepisyourlove and many more.
