Raced from good position over Nakayama 1800m after an 8-month spell. Honest effort resulted in fourth place. Likely to improve.

Crockford

Two double-digit finishes in last two starts after rising in class. Lacks speed. Return to right-handed track may help but is likely not competitive here.

Delicieux Reine

Has consistently made top three, including a second and two thirds from six starts this year. Has recently raced in 1800m-2400m range, but chronically late away. Broke well last out but remained at back till end. Condition on raceday is crucial.

Gondwana

Won over Nakayama 1800m but three starts since have ended in double-digit finishes. Lacks speed. Likely not competitive here.

Hisame

Only his third start, but displayed excellent speed and posted 1-2, including the last out in which he ran well despite late break. First time races to right, but has won over this distance. Likely highly competitive here.

Namura Teddie

Broke maiden over Nakayama 1800m in February, then in July ran second at this level in Fukushima 1700m. Grossly fell short of expectations in next two starts. Puzzling performances. Weight has been low. Weight and condition on race day are crucial.

Noble Act

Often late away or unruly in gate. Has failed to make better than fifth in five starts at this level. Extra 100m this time could help, but not promising.

Power Emblem

Has failed to make better than sixth at JRA tracks since breaking maiden. Lacks speed. Likely not competitive here.

Seychelles No Yuhi

Last 25 starts had brought two thirds last year, then unplaced until last start on 18 September, in which he finished second in Nakayama 1800m. Return after a break of around three months is not promising but trip suits. Could possibly make the money.

Shonan Hakuun

Raced mostly over 1200m-1400m with a few longer runs on both dirt and turf has seen little success. Speed decent but sporadic mix of conditions. 600m longer than usual this time, but not promising.

Shonan Kabuto

Has only missed top three twice in eight career starts, with a 7-3-3 since breaking maiden. Chronic late breaker getting an extra 200m for the first time since early days when posted two seconds over Nakayama 1800m. Return to Nakayama and extra distances pluses. Can run from any position. Good speed. Very promising.

Spark In The Eye

Has failed to win in 16 starts after July 2020, but is consistently on board, with four finishes in money. Only three starts this year with 2-4-5, including over Nakayama 1800m. Not promising but worth a wager. Going not a concern.

Suivez Moi

Lightly raced with only five career starts. Posted 6-4 since moving to this class, both over Nakayama 1800m. Returned last out from a break of around eight months. Improvement likely. Can handle any going. Good speed. Has good chance.

Yamanin Quicker

Has not missed board in last 11 starts and has made top three in five of them. Distance and venue suit. Second start since returning from a break of around nine months. Good speed. Improvement expected. Competitive here.

Zapatear

Thirteen starts at this level have brought six finishes in the top three, largely over left-handed tracks. Had done well early in career over Nakayama 1800m. Return to that trip is a plus, but speed is only average. Worth a wager.
