Chain Of Lightning

Hasn’t won for over a year but hasn’t been far off them in past four runs. Finished third beaten 3.2L in G2 at last start. Always a threat.

Gravina

Has a good strike rate at this distance. Is first-up after being spelled after fifth, beaten 1.5L on Sunshine Coast in July. Respect.

It’sourtime

Failed at last start in G3 Sydney Stakes (1200m), beaten 4.82L but had no luck in the run. Likes this track and can improve.

Triple Missile

Has raced three times at Flemington for a win and two seconds, including G2 Gilgai Stakes (1200m). Will be finishing fast. Hard to beat.

Crosshaven

Has been okay at his past three, all at Flemington but in lower grade races and around 1400m. Will need improvement.

Spacewalk

Trained on the track and creates plenty of interest with good recent efforts, including 0.2L second in G2 at Caulfield. Top chance.

General Beau

Has had plenty of support in past three and has performed well without winning. Is yet to win beyond 1100m. A place is best chance.

C’Est Magique

Disappointing at most recent start when last in G2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) but was agitated before race. Has ability to bounce back.

Najem Suhail

Australian-bred horse who started his career in South Africa where he was G2-placed. In with a rough chance.

Cause For Concern 

Capable of a big run and has done a lot of racing at Flemington. Always competitive and a forward showing expected.

Garza Blanca

Has been good in much easier races, winning three from 10 and four minor placings. Creates some interest.
