| Breizh Sky | Always gives his best and this course and distance looked ideal when he led throughout in a G3 here in June. May have needed the run here – after a 63-day break – but it was still a decent effort. |
| Cachet | An explosive front-running performance saw him win a 1600m G1 Classic at Newmarket last year. Problems since, returning after a 457-day absence when fourth at Doncaster, getting tired late on. |
| Dabawa | Despite a frustrating run of seconds she is clearly a very talented filly as demonstrated by her second in a G3 over this course and distance in September, not helping her cause by racing too freely. |
| Exxtra | Generally good efforts this season including a near miss in a 1200m G3 at Baden-Baden in August. However, she is yet to compete over this specialist distance and others look preferred. |
| Fang | Disappointed in this race last year but normally very effective over this course and distance, showing that again with a front-running victory in a G3 here in September. |
| Happy Romance | One of two horses trained by Richard Hannon who have been supplemented. A very quick mare though probably better over shorter trips than this. Likes fast ground. |
| Kelina | A 1600m G2 winner at Chantilly in June before running modestly on slow ground at Deauville. Better in a G1 at Longchamp last time but does not appeal as an obvious winner of this. |
| King Gold | This track and distance suit, illustrating that again when making lots of ground from off the pace to win a G3 here in June. Raised his game yet further when a G1 Deauville winner in August. Respected. |
| Kinross | Admirable and a specialist at this trip – gaining his first G1 win in this race last year, gaining another at Ascot in October. G2 wins on his last two starts, delivering sustained challenges. Good chance. |
| National Service | A past G3 winner and effective at this trip- twice third in 1400m G3s at Longchamp – most recently 21 days ago. Consistent, but surely an unlikely winner. |
| Pogo | An eight-times winning veteran with an international profile and was the front-running winner of a G2 over this trip around a year ago. Hard to fancy on the basis of recent performances. |
| Sauterne | A whole collection of positive runs this season, just one disappointment from nine starts. Showed a lot of paces in the closing stages to win a 1600m G1 here in September. Must be respected. |
| Shouldvebeenaring | A brave colt, proving himself at this trip when swooping from the back to win a Listed event at Newmarket and posting a career-best when only just failing to win a 1200m Haydock G1 in September. Supplemented. |
| Topgear | Has won at this trip and narrow defeats in Listed and G3s earlier in the season, but appeared outclassed in a Longchamp G1 in September. |
