G3 – 2000m – Turf

Alessio

This German-trained visitor finished sixth in last year’s G1 German Derby. Off the track until getting up to win at the post over 2000m in June, then finding a couple too quick when third over 2500m on only second start of the season.

Andromede

Hard to fault this term, winning three of her five races, the last in Germany. Tackling a G3 for first time. At home over this distance.

Bemer

Won on his latest run in handicap company. That was over this 2000m trip. He has performed well at Longchamp and deserves his shot against better opposition.

Chancellery

Lightly raced 4-year-old. A winner on his 2-year-old debut, unraced at three when gelded. Returned in June with another win. Beaten twice since. Step up in class.

Charlesquint

Won at the track over 250m further than today’s distance. Beat one home in a Deauville all-weather handicap since. Place prospects at best.

Lord Charming

Visitor from Germany with some strong form on his previous outings in France, including runner up in a G3 over course and distance in 2021. Had 307 days break, returning with two encouraging runs in June and July.

Monty

Won this last year. The veteran placed third for the second successive season in the same G3 at Deauville last month. Definite chance of finishing in the money again.

Naranco

Spanish trained. Two wins in Madrid this season. A staying on third in a G3 over this distance last time out in July in France.

Shahzad

This lightly raced 4-year-old looks to be improving, winning a handicap then narrowly beaten in a Listed race. Suited by this 2000m.

True Testament

Interesting contender. Holds an entry in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. Will strip a lot fitter after a low-key comeback after 328 days off last month over further in very soft ground.
