1900m – Polytrack
Bakhchisaray |
Interestingly campaigned, having tackled group and listed grade before winning a claiming last time out. The market will probably be the best guide to his chances. |
Behtar |
This supplementary entry is now finding his vocation in handicaps, and plenty to like about his battling third behind two smart customers on last start. One for the shortlist. |
Caramelito |
Made every post a winning one in a Class 2 race at Longchamp. Entitled to have his sights raised on that evidence and still on a handy mark. |
Charlesquint |
Showed the utmost resolution to in Class 1 grade last time. Plenty high in the weights and yet to win at Deauville, but clearly going great guns. |
Dayshann |
Raced predominantly in Spain last season. Began this season with success on all-weather surface at Pau but indifferent form since. |
Eliyass |
Has blossomed this season – winning his first four starts. It took a mighty effort to snap his winning streak last time and very much a leading contender. |
Indian Pacific |
Has had a busy campaign (11 starts), but plenty to like about running-on fourth behind an in-form stablemate on last start, which bodes well for his chances. |
Integrant |
Did well to lower the colours of an in-form horse (riding a four race winning streak) over course and distance on last start. One to consider. |
Monsieur Xoo |
Beaten 2l plus by a future G2 winner at Chantilly in March over longer, but otherwise his form has been far from convincing of late. |
Nighthab |
Little evidence of his 25 per cent strike rate on his last four starts, and improved form is called for. |
Parchemin |
Used to carrying big weights in these tough handicaps. Lightly campaigned, but does have winning form here, and ran particularly well (third) two starts back. |
Saint Hellier |
More on his plate here, but he was a convincing winner in Class 2 grade, and unbeaten in two starts over course and distance. Could also be ahead of the handicapper. |
Thirsty |
Has gained six wins in the last three seasons. Began the season promisingly (third), but his form has dipped since, and the fact that he’s unraced since April is a further concern. |
Valiabad |
Not at his best in his two starts this season. Although possibilities on his 2022 form, having also been given some respite by the handicapper. |
White Whisky |
Has blown hot and cold this season but was noted finishing well from off the pace (fifth) in a Class 2 race over course and distance last month, and that was much more like it. |
Wonnemond |
Not at his best this term, but has faced tougher assignments than this, although still racing off a fairly high mark. |
