1500m – Polytrack

Atome

He is lightly raced this year, this being only his third run. Yet to win from 13 starts he is held on form by a few of his rivals but there could be more in the tank.

Buti

Seasoned campaigner, this is his 49th race. Dual winner on this all-weather track last winter. Fourth last month on latest start over 1100m on turf.

Grey Belle

Raced last season in England. Best effort since switching stables to France was a creditable third over 1400m on Chantilly’s all-weather. Finished in Stormy Air’s slipstream when fourth on latest outing here this month.

Gurzuf

Less exposed than a lot of his rivals, his best showing from eight starts was when he took third in a 1400m maiden.

Heartbeat

Held by Stormy Air on their last meeting here at the start of the month. Fourth over this course and distance back in January.

Italo

Has been trying his hand over longer for most of the season, without much success. Placed in a Chantilly all-weather over 1800m three starts ago.

Jordan Baker

Returns to Deauville for the third time in five weeks. Unplaced on both occasions. He clicked on the sixth of 12 starts in 2023, in a 1350m handicap on grass.

Just In Love

Looks up against it after lowkey efforts in her four runs this term. Hit the bullseye twice in 28 starts, last year over 1600m.

L’Ienissei

Close form with Stormy Air based on their meeting here on 1 August when he failed to justify favouritism to finish 6th. Last of his three wins came back in 2021.

Mascalino

Only fourth run of the season, should have benefited from running 8th and only beaten a handful of lengths on turf at Compiegne in July after a break.

Montigny

His two wins from 15 career race came in 2022, the first of those over this 1500m distance. Will strip fitter after an outing following a three-month break.

Sapiens

Much of his racing this term over slightly shorter. Out of luck when travelling to Germany on latest start. Reeled off back-to-back all-weather wins last winter.

Soan

His sole victory this campaign came over this 1500m trip back in February. Ran into a place on three of his subsequent six starts. Returns after a near one-month time-out.

Stormy Air

Narrowly edged out, finishing third, on latest start here over 1400m at the start of the month. That came on the back of his win on turf at Vichy in a 1400m handicap.

The Champ

A course and distance winner last December has been found out on his penultimate start when eighth, but not beaten by too far, at Chantilly over 1600m in May.

Villa Royale

This six-year-old grey mare knows her way around a racetrack, lining up here for the 55th time. Yet to score this term to add to her three-win tally, this is her first run at Deauville since her debut back in November, 2019.
