G2 – 1200m – Turf

Bucanero Fuerte |
Slow ground would be ideal, conditions that saw him win at this track on his career debut. His close third of 20 in a good-ground G2 at Royal Ascot was also extremely encouraging. |
2 |
Democracy |
Kicked off his career when decisively justifying favouritism in a maiden over this course and distance. Then disappointing in a G3 back at The Curragh. Needs to improve if he is to win this. |
3 |
Devious |
Big and strong, he easily won a Naas maiden on his debut. Didn’t obviously progress from that in a Royal Ascot G2, but the fast ground might not have been ideal and this 1200m trip also looks helpful. |
4 |
His Majesty |
A big and already mature-looking colt. Encouraging performances on all three starts though his slow start over 1000m at Royal Ascot last time made things difficult. Already proven at this longer trip. |
5 |
I Am Invictus |
Two encouraging efforts on his first two starts both over 1000m, at Naas and Navan, latterly only just caught by a colt who subsequently was only just beaten in Listed company at Royal Ascot. |
6 |
Lightening Army |
It would be a major shock if he won this despite having shown some promise in three 1000m starts. Well behind today’s rival I Am Invictus when they met at Navan last month. |
7 |
Mythology |
Came close to a first-time-out victory over this course and distance last month. He will need to improve a fair amount in this stronger company but it could happen for a stable in great form. |
8 |
Supersonic Man |
Always near the front, he showed plenty of zip to win over 1000m at Tipperary on his second career start. Never going quick enough on fast ground at Royal Ascot subsequently. |

Unquestionable |
Tried in 1000m Listed company for his career debut which suggests that he is highly regarded. Ran a decent third in that before stepping up to this trip for an impressive maiden success here. Chance. |
