Listed – 1000m – Turf
| Action Point | A winner first-time-out at Kempton before switching to turf for a solid second over this course and distance, leading until the closing stages. |
| Alabama | From a stable that won this race again last year. Hasn’t managed a win yet despite starting favourite for both his starts. He’ll need to improve a bit to capture this prize. |
| Barnwell Boy | Sent into an immediate lead, he drew clear in the closing stages of a 1200m Goodwood novice with the second home having enhanced the form with a subsequent victory. A live candidate. |
| Big Evs | Showed plenty of zip on his career debut when a close second on fast ground over this trip at Redcar. |
| Bombay Bazaar | Seems to be learning fast and has won his last two starts, on contrasting ground conditions. Won a decent race at Beverley last time since when this has been on the agenda. |
| Fandom | Flew the gates and looked the certain winner for most of the trip over 1100m at Keeneland, finishing 6.75l clear of his nearest rival. Fast ground will surely assist the US-trained speedster. |
| Fusterlandia | Has suffered narrow defeats on both his starts. Led for much of the trip at Beverley last time, but did hang left when pressure was applied. |
| Ganesha | Unfancied in the betting for his only start where he missed the break. But once he got the message he finished strongly to win that Hamilton maiden, with the second home having won since. |
| Hackman | A front-running maiden winner on slow ground at Chester, then running a respectable third when upped to Listed status at Sandown. |
| Hala Emaraaty | Has gained narrow victories in both starts, proving himself on fast and slow ground. With a good attitude, now just needing to prove himself in this much stronger company. |
| Inquisitively | Unfancied in the betting but he came quite close to pulling off a shock win on his debut, at Windsor last month. Drops in trip but has a speedy pedigree. |
| Johannes Brahms | Started favourite at Naas on his only start, and, though his main market rival looked more likely to win, he showed lots of determination to gain victory. Down in trip, but he looks very speedy. |
| Lieutenant Rascal | Led for most of the trip, coming close to winning that maiden on his second start before failing to justify favouritism in a similar event. |
| Magnificent Match | Having his first career start with pedigree suggesting he’ll need a much longer trip than this. |
| Maximum Impact | Has won both his starts, and with the advantage of latterly proving himself over this course and distance with a convincing victory on good ground here in May. |
| Mayo Neighs | Too strong for a much more experienced and fancied rival when a narrow winner at Bath on last month’s career debut. |
| Muqtahem | Although he took time to load into the gates, he proved very sharp in the race, leading throughout over 1200m at Pontefract, his second career start. |
| Myconian | Well placed by his UK trainer to win in France on his debut run. Not so good in three races since and surely not good enough. |
| Scoops Ahoy | A close second on his first two starts before winning a weakly-contested fast-ground maiden at Hamilton. |
| Sergeant Wilko | Coming back from a 60-day break since his second and latest outing when outspeeding six rivals over this trip at Thirsk. The third that day has won twice since. |
| Seven Questions | Encouraging efforts on both starts, and only caught in the last strides at Yarmouth this month. Unlikely to be good enough. |
| Sir Bolton | Started favourite for his career debut and, though just headed in a tense finish on slow ground at Yarmouth, was subsequently awarded the race. Returns 57 days after that promising start. |
| Supersonic Man | His two starts both came at the end of May, latterly when outspeeding eight rivals over this trip at Tipperary. |
| Two Tribes | Two runs in maiden and novice company on all-weather surfaces have revealed some promise. Very unlikely to be quick enough for this. |
| Up The Manor | Made an ideal start, proving too quick for more experienced rivals when winning a novices’ event over this trip at Doncaster. |
| World Of Darcy | A winner over this trip first-time-out and then ran at least as well when 5l second in a stronger event at Sandown, just not able to handle the speed of a stable companion. |
