RACE 2 – AFFIRM

AFFIRM, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. AFFIRM was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer P F Yiu this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, AFFIRM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 3 – HANDSOME GUYS

HANDSOME GUYS, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. HANDSOME GUYS was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C Fownes this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg.  Before being allowed to race again, HANDSOME GUYS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 10 – MIGHTY STRIDE

MIGHTY STRIDE, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. MIGHTY STRIDE was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer P F Yiu this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. As previously advised, MIGHTY STRIDE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during yesterday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
