1200m – Turf
1 |
Energy Baby |
Fourth local start here and has been racing well, placing on two occasions. Narrowly beaten last start and can go close again if he handles the turf. |
2 |
Mongol Warrior |
One-time winner from five starts in Australia and New Zealand who makes his Kranji debut for trainer Michael Clements. Has looked well in many of his trials and should be fit and ready to run a race first-up. |
3 |
Knippenberg |
Should be suited back in distance and his last-start eighth in the SIN G2 3YO Classic over 1400m was better than it reads given the hot tempo and he was on-pace. Look for big improvement here. |
4 |
Lucky Hero |
Heavily supported last start but was one-paced in seventh throughout. Trialled nicely in blinkers since and should be an improver in the head gear here. |
5 |
Bransom |
Won well leading all the way on debut two starts ago, before racing wide and without cover in the SIN G3 3YO Sprint second-up and fading. Trialled okay since and should have more to offer with even luck. |
6 |
Great Warrior |
Another debutant for the Michael Clements yard whose overseas form reads better over further but his trials locally have looked good enough to suggest he can run a big race fresh. |
7 |
Laslos |
Broke through at start number three last start but in a much weaker Open Maiden contest. This is tougher and it remains to be seen how much upside he has. |
8 |
Top Confidence |
Has jumped the market elect in both local races so far but was well beaten on each occasion. This race is harder and hard to recommend. |
9 |
Cash King |
Debutant for the Alwin Tan stable who is well prepared with a few trials. They have been okay but the betting market will be the best guide. |
10 |
Rhett Butler |
Created a huge impression on debut, winning smartly by two lengths over 1100m on the polytrack. He should be acquitting himself well again. |
