The Club’s Chief Medical Officer has advised that Jockey Harry Bentley has today tested re-infected to COVID-19 following the Club’s routine daily polymerase chain reaction (“PCR”) test.  Accordingly, Jockey Bentley has been stood down from riding until further notice with the Stewards approving the following riding substitutions for the Happy Valley racemeeting to be conducted on Wednesday, 14 December 2022:-

Race 1:            SMILING FACE – L Hewitson
Race 2:            POLARIS WINNER – L Ferraris
Race 3:            STARSHIP EIGHTY – S De Sousa
Race 4:            FLAMING EAGLE – Z Purton
Race 8:            PUBLICIST – C L Chau
Race 9:            SMART IDEA – L Ferraris

A further release will be issued at the appropriate time in respect of Jockey Bentley’s eligibility to be declared for race riding engagements for the Sha Tin Racemeeting to be conducted on Sunday, 18 December 2022.
