The Stewards have been provided with written advice from Racing Victoria that SMILING CITY, which raced under the same name prior to being imported into Hong Kong, wore blinkers in some of its race starts conducted in that jurisdiction.

Mr D J Whyte, trainer of SMILING CITY, has requested he be permitted to race the horse in visor, as that piece of gear is interchangeable with blinkers, without it being subjected to testing. Mr Whyte’s request has been approved.
