G2 – 1200m – Turf
Edgartown | Best of the draw. Over-raced last run but was staying on. Unlikely winner but can place.
Dyce | Has improved with every outing. Good pace before being run out of it when starting a short-priced favourite. Better suited to this trip. Will have many supporters.
Crested Eagle | Showed early in the season before losing form. Blinkers finally saw him shed his maiden but will be hard-pressed in this company.
Bon Vivant | Played second fiddle to a smart sort last outing. Still on the up and can finish in the money.
Who’s That Star | Has shown some ability but an unlikely winner in this company.
Faustino | Is quick and was only run out of it late when trying further. Stable known for dishing up the odd surprise although the form suggests that he is well held.
Gallic Chief | Good pace from a tough draw in a G2 over 1400m. Was involved in some serious scrimmaging in the latter stages. Better draw here and expecting a big effort.
Isivunguvungu | On the wrong end of a savage attempt when starting at long odds in a G1. Did well to finish three lengths off and stable is in mustard form.
Silver Salmon | Showed early in a G1 sprint last outing. Should come on from that and has a money chance.
Dockofthebay | Shed maiden on debut and then rested. Had one outing since against older horses in a strong field. Likely to make big improvement.
Kuuma | Second of the stable runners. Took time for first win and will need more from this draw.
It’s About Time | Finishing nicely in a 1400m G2 last outing. Tricky draw but is still improving and has a money chance.
Rodriguez | Comfortable maiden win last start but much more to do here from his wide draw. Stable companion Gallic Chief preferred.
