RACE 3 – HELENE LEADINGSTAR

HELENE LEADINGSTAR, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. HELENE LEADINGSTAR was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A S Cruz this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, HELENE LEADINGSTAR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 6 – M M JOHNNY

M M JOHNNY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. M M JOHNNY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer Y S Tsui this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, M M JOHNNY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

RACE 10 – GRATWICK

After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on GRATWICK at the request of Trainer T P Yung. The Veterinary Surgeon reported that this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The Veterinary Surgeon today reported that GRATWICK was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. As previously advised, GRATWICK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.

RACE 11 – EVERYONE’S JOY

EVERYONE’S JOY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse was a “roarer” which had previously been reported. EVERYONE’S JOY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer F C Lor this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, EVERYONE’S JOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during yesterday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
