Doncaster Mile Day
The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting seven races from Randwick Racecourse in Australia on Saturday, 4 April. The first race will start at 10.55am Hong Kong time.
Sydney’s annual flagship thoroughbred event – The Championships – will be held on the first and second Saturdays in April. Billed as the “Grand Final” of the Australian racing season, the two-day event features prestigious races over a range of distances for horses of different age groups.
The seven Group races on Day 1 of The Championships are:
P J Bell Stakes (G3 1200m for 3yo fillies)
Chairman’s Quality (G2 2600m handicap for 3yo+)
ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes (G1 1400m for 2yo – The 2yo championship)
Australian Derby (G1 2400m for 3yo – The 3yo Classic championship)
T J Smith Stakes (G1 1200m open – The Open Sprint championship)
Doncaster Mile (G1 1600m handicap for 3yo+ – The Mile championship)
Adrian Knox Stakes (G3 2000m handicap for 3yo fillies)
Final declarations with barriers for the Doncaster Mile Day races will be available on the morning of Friday, 3 April.
Osaka Hai
During the Sha Tin race meeting on Sunday, 5 April, the Osaka Hai will be simulcast live for betting from Hanshin Racecourse (race time 2:40pm).
The Osaka Hai (G1 2000m for 4yo and upwards) attained its Grade 1 status in 2017 and has served as an important lead up for Japan’s most prestigious staying race – the Tenno Sho (Spring).
Final declarations with barriers for the Osaka Hai will be available on the afternoon of Friday, 3 April.
