On Sunday, 10 September, the Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting the Korea Sprint and the Korea Cup from Seoul Racecourse during the afternoon Sha Tin race meeting.
The Korea Autumn Racing Carnival is now in its second year and features the two flagship international races in the country, the Korea Sprint and the Korea Cup. American-trained horses will participate for the first time alongside the best local gallopers and fellow challengers from Europe and Asia.
Korea Sprint (S1-1) 2:30pm
The Korea Sprint (KOR G1, 1200m, Sand, for 3yo+) offers a total prize of KRW 700 million. Hong Kong collected the spoils last year with Super Jockey and will pin its hopes this time around on G3 Sha Tin Vase winner LUCKY YEAR (Danny Shum).
Korea Cup (S1-2) 3:35pm
The Korea Cup (KOR G1, 1800m, Sand, for 3yo+) is the richest race in Korea with a purse of KRW 1 billion. CIRCUIT LAND (Danny Shum) is set to become Hong Kong’s first ever runner in this contest but he will have to overcome defending champion CHRYSOLITE from Japan.
Final declarations with barrier draws for the Korean races will be available on Friday, 8 September.
