Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day will be held this Sunday (4 November) at Sha Tin Racecourse and the hugely-anticipated event promises to bring fabulous on-course attractions to lady racegoers in the theme of “Be Beautiful, Be Part Of It”.

The occasion, one of Hong Kong racing’s most historic traditions dating back to 1846, features the BeautyLand Fashion Show with celebrity models exhibiting eye-catching finery. Renowned TV artiste Ali Lee, this year’s Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day image girl, will make special appearances at the racecourse to meet and greet fans.

Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day Brooch
Racing fans attending Sha Tin and Happy Valley racecourses will each receive a Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day Brooch as a door gift. The design of this year’s souvenir brooch uses semicircles in different sizes to create a stylish horse graphic. The gift will be distributed until the start of Race 5 or while stocks last.

“BeautyLand” Fashion Show
Nancy Wu, another renowned TV artiste, will take the stage in the “BeautyLand” Fashion Show after Race 4 in the Parade Ring. She will join top models to present a series of fabulous headpieces designed by US milliner Jennifer Kofler, as well as the stylish outfits and handbags created by local fashion designers Jessica Lau and Walter Kong.

Feature race of the day
The Group 3 Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse is scheduled to be run as Race 7 (4:05pm). Miss Christiana Ng, daughter of Mrs. Gloria Ng Wong Yee Man, a Voting Member of the Club,,will officiate at the trophy presentation ceremony for the feature race. Sa Sa International Holdings Chairman and CEO Dr. Simon Kwok Siu Ming, along with the company’s Vice-Chairman Dr. Eleanor Kwok and image girl Ali Lee will present commemorative trophies to the winning connections.

Spectacular on-course activities
A spectacular line-up of on-course activities will be available for racegoers to enjoy on the day, including “The Beautiful Moment” IG Competition, photo booth “Pink House Photo Box”, Millinery Pop-Up Shop, Sa Sa Beauty Bazaar and the Sa Sa Make-up Workshop. Also, an extensive array of delightful Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse Day-themed merchandise will be available for purchase at the Concourse Sales Counters, as well as the Gift at Races souvenir shops at Sha Tin Racecourse, while stocks last.
