All things en francais arrive at Happy Valley Racecourse this May! At three mid-week meetings (9, 16 and 23 May), Happy Wednesday’s French Night will put fans in the mood to feast fine as they sample French delicacies while watching the races a la francais . A selfie game is offering participants the chance to win a pair of Hong Kong Airlines-sponsored air tickets to Ho Chi Minh City at each of the three race night events. 

United by art; differentiated by style

Three internationally-acclaimed performing troupes, in town for the annual Le French May Art Festival, will bring fans a different vibe each week:

9 May: OMMM brings acapella performances featuring dub masters renowned for vocal beatboxing

16 May: The Elem’ants will wow the crowd with their hip hop gag

23 May: Le Syndicat du Chrome performs with an amazing mix of afrofunk and French brass brand

Feature races on the track will include the Sauternes Cup on 9 May and the France Galop Cup and the Le French May Trophy on 23 May.

The trackside kiosks are also offering a delightful selection of French cuisine for fans’ enjoyment. Dishes on offer are: Sautéed Mushroom in Black Truffle Cream Sauce, Brioche (HK$65); Quiche Lorraine with Green Salad (HK$55); Braised Duck Leg in Orange Sauce with Roasted Potatoes (HK$60); Crunchy John Dory’s Fingers and Potato Wedges with Lemon Caper Mayonnaise (HK$95); Roasted Half French Spring Chicken with Rosemary Red Wine Sauce (HK$65); Braised Beef in Spices and Red Wine with Baguette (HK$75).

Le French May offerings at adrenaline & The Gallery
adrenaline will embrace the three French Night parties, offering French tapas to tantalise the palate along with carefully selected fine wines. Enjoy free-flowing wine for an optional add-on of HK$175.

The Gallerywill stage a Sweet Romance Series Pink Event on 23 May, when racing program host Scarlett Cheng will join in games with customers.
